Despite her success on the field, it has not always been easy off the field. At the early age of three, Holiday had open-heart surgery to correct a heart defect. In September of 2016, shortly after her individual and team dominance on the national and international scale, Holiday was diagnosed with a brain tumor during her pregnancy with her husband and NBA All-Star and Milwaukee Bucks’ player Jrue Holiday. With the support of her family, Lauren has made a full recovery and has been fully healthy for many years. Jrue and Lauren have since grown their family, with the latest addition of their son in 2020.
Lauren will share her story, speak to the importance of purpose and resilience. Additionally, attendees will celebrate the CEM Class of 2022 who will cross the stage and be recognized with the industries mark of distinction.
